Boekel Scientific is pleased to announce the promotion of Amy-Jo Yogmas to President, effective immediately. She is replacing Stephen Christie, who served as President since 2006. Amy-Jo has 17 years of increasingly responsible executive experience at Boekel, including sales, marketing, quality, and operations management roles. In addition to her work with us, she recently was nominated to serve as Vice Chairman of the Laboratory Products Association. We're incredibly proud of her leadership position at LPA and her distinguished work on behalf of the entire laboratory products industry.
Amy-Jo has served on LPA's Board of Directors since 2019. Our Board Chairman Leo Synnestvedt said: We are pleased to promote Amy-Jo to President and know from our experience working successfully with her for many years the energy, vision, and knowledge she brings to the role. We also want to thank Stephen for his dedicated service and wish him much future success. We feel Amy-Jo will be leading Boekel at a time when laboratory research and our equipment are in the spotlight as never before because of vaccine development and treatment research related to the coronavirus pandemic. As President, Amy-Jo will work with all of our people to fulfill the company vision of global leadership in the supply and innovation of life science tools.

Amy-Jo is a native of Bucks County, PA, where she and her husband Ed reside today. She has approached every new challenge at Boekel with enthusiasm and a spirit of professionalism. Whether securing Medical Device Manufacturing standard ISO 13485 or understanding our products' use of thermoelectric cooling, she has applied her intelligence and initiative to lead and drive innovation further. She also highly values our people and their contributions, empowering associates, giving them freedom and opportunity to learn and grow professionally.
Some of Amy-Jo's successes at Boekel Scientific have been securing SCOPE approval for our blood banking equipment and managing the development of an OEM blood pathogen detection reagent warming system. She is a visible presence at our trade show booths, pleased to demonstrate the capabilities of our well-regarded plasma thawers or CO2 incubators.
