Ready for Application-Specific Duty

Naturally, labs that serve multiple hospitals in a large metropolitan area have incubator needs that differ from a university research lab. And the kind of research your lab performs — and its layout — will inevitably dictate which incubator solution is best.

At Boekel Scientific, we listen to what our customers want, and we’re constantly innovating to meet those needs. That’s why we maintain a complete inventory of laboratory incubators in capacities ranging from 0.1 to 5.0 cubic feet. Look through the available offerings to find an economy incubator that fits your budget and includes the features for your lab operation.

Tailored Solutions for Your Unique Needs

If you need an incubator with specialty features to suit your lab, talk to us about custom manufacturing. Our in-house engineering and design teams will partner with you to create a product that fits your requirements. Reach out online and share your project with us — we'll work with you to make your ideas a reality. We also accommodate bulk orders with customized pricing to help you outfit your laboratory for lower costs.

Benchtop vs. Floor Standing

How are incubators like real estate? Because the three most important elements for choosing one are location, location and location. Floor space can be at a premium in laboratories that share duties with multiple college departments or hospital providers. The same can be said about benchtop space in some labs with autoclavescentrifuges and pipette systems all demanding their fair yardage.

Our selection of laboratory incubators gives you many choices for benchtop models, floor-standing models and options that can go either way for additional flexibility.

Digital Incubators vs. Analog Incubators

Boekel Scientific has been at the forefront of laboratory innovation for 150 years. We’ve seen many technologies come and go, so we know that the newest trend may not be the correct choice for everyone. Even though we have both feet firmly in the digitally-focused 21st century, we know analog still has a place in the laboratory world.

For laboratory workers looking for the ease-of-use and value that analog provides, we offer our Boekel Scientific Economy Incubators and our Mini Incubator. Our analog economy incubators include a large control dial and a top-mounted thermometer for convenient temperature setting and monitoring. Boekel Scientific now carries a new line of digital, forced air incubators to meet your team’s needs. Our new digital incubators use a programmable logic controller (PLC) microprocessor digital control system to maintain temperature and are equipped with a configurable alarm and timer. An innovative, removable door panel is also supplied to easily convert the incubator from see-through to "solid door" for light-sensitive applications. A large digital LCD readout allows lab workers to identify the unit's temperature during operation.

115 vs. 230 Volts

All incubator units come with the choice between 115 and 230 volts. Which you should choose often depends on your power grid setup. Many electrical systems in the United States use 115 volts, while in other countries, especially in Europe, 230 volts is the more common option.

Keeping Your Samples Secure

If you're working on a sensitive project or in a laboratory or hospital setting where samples must be locked away, you can choose a locked incubator like the Contrast Media Warmer. These incubators have a lock on the door to prevent access by anyone who doesn't have a key.

GEN2 Programmable Touch Screen Incubators

Not all experiments are created equal. With the GEN2 programmable incubators, you can be assured that the flexible control system can support the most intricate procedures. The GEN2 Incubators allow for multi-step temperature ramps, settable alarms, control of the internal power outlet and viewable and downloadable temperature and humidity logs. These incubators also have a stackable design, allowing you to save valuable space on your laboratory benchtop for other necessary equipment.

These features make our incubator offerings ideal for mammalian and insect cultures, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) studies, and many advanced microbiological incubations. For example, if you need to control light and temperature to simulate night and day, the GEN2 Refrigerated Incubator can handle this without external control hardware. Or, if you are running a cell culture experiment that requires intermittent shaking, the GEN2 CO2 Incubator can easily be programmed to perform this action. The GEN2 touchscreen interface was designed to be flexible and easy to use to save laboratories time and money.
